A Very Prairie Christmas:
July 19th - 20th, 2013

Welcome to our first “Very Prairie Christmas” celebration. We hope the weekend will be a magical experience as you delight in creating heartfelt seasonal gifts and decorations with some of the industry’s best loved designers. We're thrilled to announce that Stacy West from Buttermilk Basin and Karla Eisenach from Sweetwater will be here to teach two days filled with creative workshops and trunk shows Opportunities for shopping will also be a highlight of the weekend.

Quilting on the Prairie Retreat
November 1st-3rd, 2013

Spend the weekend sewing away on the projects of your choice, or participate in classes or a trunk show with Peg Spradlin.

We are thrilled to welcome Cozad native, Peg Spradlin as our featured teacher for the weekend. Peg has been quilting out of her home in rural Cozad, Nebraska on
her domestic Bernina sewing machine for over 20 years. Sheʼs a home sewer and pattern tester for Quiltmaker, Quilterʼs Newsletter, Connecting Threads and Marcus Fabrics. She specializes in precision piecing but her true love is quilting the top with lots of trapunto and dense background stitching. Peg teaches these techniques in classes all over the country. Peg has had quilts and articles published in Quiltmaker, Quilt It, Quilterʼs Newsletter, and Machine Quilting Unlimited, and is a regular contributor to Quiltmakerʼs 100 Blocks and Quilts from Quiltmakerʼs 100 Blocks. Pegʼs trunk show will include both her personal quilts and selected quilts from Quiltmaker and Quilterʼs Newsletter magazine.

Register for our Retreat Weekend: A $25.00 deposit holds your spot in our classes or Bring Your Own Project Option. Please submit your registration form (above) by mail so that we know what events you wish to participate in.

Trunk Show with Peg Spradlin: Friday, November 1st, 5:30
Join us for supper at Camp Comeca, then be entertained by Peg's trunk show.

Trunk Show: $20.00

Class Policies & Skill Level Suggestions:
Beginner 1: No previous quilting experience needed.
Beginner 2: Familiar with rotary cutting & basic piecing skills.
Intermediate: Comfortable with basics, ready for a challenge.

Pre-registration and payment of class fees is required to secure your place in class. Phone registrations hold spot for 48 hours.

Registrations cancelled more than 7 days before class will receive store credit for class fees. After this time, no credit can be given.

Sewing machine in good working order required for most classes.

Many classes have a minimum registration. You may want to wait to purchase supplies until the class fills. Your support in buying class supplies here is appreciated to help keep class fees low. We offer a 10% discount on supplies purchased for class. Due to copyright laws, each student in class must purchase their own copy of the book or pattern used. Classes are designed to teach skills for a particular project.

Time and individual sewing differences usually don't allow for finishing a project in class.
Finishing techniques are not addressed unless otherwise noted.
