Prairie
Point Junction opened its doors for business in September, 1998.
Our shop mission is to provide a resource for quality quilting
supplies while providing customers with excellent service and
product support. Above all, we wish for our customers to enjoy
any contact they have with our shop and leave with the inspiration
and confidence to embark upon a new project.
Located in Cozad,
we are just minutes off Interstate 80, in the central part of
Nebraska. Cozad’s location on the 100th Meridian makes
it nearly the geographic center -
east to west - of the United States. Cozad is a rural community
with a population of
approximately 4,500. Our downtown boasts a variety of unique
shopping experiences that you are sure to enjoy.

Prairie Point
Junction stocks all the basics that can be found in any quilt shop
such as 100% cotton fabrics, books, patterns, and notions. We
carry fabrics from Moda, P & B
Textiles, Indo U.S., RJR, Hoffman, Timeless Treasures, Kaufman,
Free Spirit, and Benartex, just to
name a few. Our favorite designer is Lynne
Hagmeier, for Kansas Troubles. You’re sure to find her
latest lines at our shop!
Around 2000 bolts
of cotton fabrics are displayed throughout the shop on traditional
shelves as well as in unique displays including an antique goat
cart, old wheel barrow, or a bench fashioned from an iron bed.
Arranging creative displays in one of our favorite things to
do - and one of the things
we are complimented the most about. A multitude of samples
hung throughout the store makes our shop a fantastic point of
inspiration.
Our flannel
corner is a popular destination in the shop. With nearly 300
bolts of flannel during our peak season, there is truly something
for everyone from c
ountry colors, to soft pastels, to dazzling
brights. A
set of church pews display all of our “heavenly” flannels. A
cutting table from an old hardware store positioned in the middle
of this area provides the perfect place for planning your next
project.
Wool
Felt continues to be a popular trend in our shop. We
currently stock over 50 colors of this innovative product.

Wool felt is used for pennyrugs,
pillows, runners, and endless types of decorations. Visit our

Can’t
decide which fabrics to pick for your next project? Let our
helpful staff assist you. Picking out fabric is one of our
favorite parts of the whole quilt making pr
ocess. With a
selection of over 2000 bolts, you’re sure to find the right
combination. Do you prefer to have all the guess-work done
for you? Pick up one of our many kits and the fabric
selection process will be done for you! Even better, you can
see a sample on display to know exactly
how your project will look. Our creative packaging often
makes the kit simply irresistible.
In addition to
our great product selection, we have lots of fun here too! Join
us for a variety of clubs and events. A yearly favorite is our
Quilting on the Prairie Retreat - a
weekend long adventure full of trunk shows, classes, sewing and
fantastic food. We are also proud sponsors of “Quilts
Around the Block.” The entire
downtown decks out in quilts to support a quilt show at our local
